3 Ways I’ve Been Doing Business Back Ass-wards (and how to fix that!)

1. Me First
For the past few years, I’ve put my business to do list above what really aligned with my soul, where my energy was each day/month and whether I took the time to drop into inner stillness to recharge and find inspiration. 

Now I’m seeing that the ongoing wellbeing of my business depends on me. My inner work is part of my business. Nourishing my energy is part of my business. Days dreaming about what’s next is too.

If I don’t take care of myself on a deep level, I can’t take care of my clients or family. And that’s not sustainable.

2. Right Energy, Right Action
Our businesses are built on our energetic DNA. The energy and vibe you carry within yourself comes through in how you interact with your clients, your marketing, what strategies you choose to grow your business.

When I’m in doing doing doing, launching launching launching mode, I don’t give myself a chance to go through the cycles of resting, emerging, shining, completing. All of which are vital for long-term success.

When I root into my inner knowing first, then I can clearly see what action to take – the ones that feel most aligned on a soul level. 

3. Message Over Mechanics
For those of us in the transformational industry, our message is what attracts our clients to us. High quality content that shares our deepest truths and most effective practices build our tribe.

When we focus MORE on the mechanics – figuring out the technology, our systems, how we are sharing our message, then we can lose sight of delivering the energy and words that matter. To connecting with people, taking risks that light up our soul.

I used to forget what’s important – the morning meditation versus the jumping into action, enjoying tucking my kids in with love over the routine, writing blogs from my heart over stressing about autoresponders.
