That Little Black Stone in Your Heart

With the new moon eclipse and starry sky overhead, I stoked a ceremonial fire last night to clear and gather my energy from this past (rather intense) year – and to burn the veils obscuring the truth.

I poured all the doubts and hard times and grievances and people who pulled on me and all the activity of the year into the flames and asked my ancestors and guides and helpers to transmute them. Ah… release.

As I settled into watching the flames, I saw myself as that beautiful spark of light coming into a human body as a baby and then watched as a little black stone was unintentionally placed in my heart.

That little black stone was not being understood, heard or seen fully, believing I had to work hard to earn love, trying to be perfect, feeling unsupported, not having my needs met…

And I saw how that little black stone has been informing how I move through my life and business.

It dictates who I work with, how much I charge, what offerings I make, how I put myself “out there.”

It influences how I relate to myself, my husband, children, family and friends.

And it causes me to expect all the people in my life to love me the way I want to be loved and when they don’t, to feel disappointed or upset.

Maybe you have a little black stone in your heart too?

And then through the smoke, the truth emerged.

The only person who can remove that little black stone from my heart is me. I have to be willing to love it each time it gets activated until it disappears.

So I’m on a mission in 2020 – to be a fully shining woman leading our world through my soul-led business. To be of service to my tribe of fully shining leaders who are expanding our communities and sharing our deepest gifts and skills.

That little black stone has been dimming my light for many years. So as I shine fully, I’ll also be loving on it. I invite you to do the same.

Light a fire – or a candle. Meditate. Take a walk. Or an epsom salt bath. Reach out for support.
