My Healing Space is finally finished! I’m so excited to share this with you. So here’s my shameless self-promotion. Spread the word, won’t you please?
Having a space of my own, nestled into the woods in the White Mountains is a dream come true. I love walking through the door and feeling the intent and energy just as I set and left it. Not to mention that unlike the house, every object is where I put it down as well!
The energy of the Mount Washington Valley is also incredibly supportive for healing and transformation. Mt. Washington, which was a sacred mountain to the Native Americans here, sits at the crown of the valley. There are mountains that ring either side. When I call in the helpers and guides, they often sit on the rim of the mountains ringing the area. I can feel the granite, trees, water that courses through the rivers and streams, the wind and the animals all assisting. The tribal people that lived here years ago and spirits are happy to have someone to play with – they often appear to me during sessions and meditations.
Ready for the tour?
The outside of the Healing Space, beautifully landscaped.
I love to sit in the sun and wait for clients on the bench with lovely pillows. So inviting!
The altar that greets you at the door. The heart rocks were a Mother’s Day gift from Erin and Nick.
These chairs have seen a lot of tears and smiles and a-ha’s! All the elements and chakras are represented.
The “wisdom” corner with books and sacred objects from around the world.
My massage table is so cozy with the sheepskin on it. When I take clients on shamanic journeys, we travel deep and far.
Hidden beneath the floor is a medicine wheel. The walls are covered with prayers and quotes that friends, clients, and family contributed from around the world.
A turkey who died on our property gave us permission to use his wings. They are power tools for clearing energy during shamanic healing sessions.
The tools of the trade.
The fire pit right outside for ceremony and smudging.
Ahhh and the surrounding woods.
Our fairy tale house.
And the porch just begging to be used for relaxing and deep conversation!
Or a little yoga!
Or hammock-ing!
We live in the beautiful, majestic mountains of N. Conway, NH.
I am so grateful for everyone who contributed to creating this space – Jamie Gilroy, master craftsman who infused each board with love and care, Bodhi who swung a hammer by Papa’s side and then offered the first two “classes” (to Téa and me – Mama Baby Yoga and Mouse Babysitting), friends who came to help including Godfather Rick Sierchio and Harv Hallas, Rita Rivera Fox who danced and painted the walls with quotes from all of you and a medicine wheel for the floor, Tobi Lew who helped add in all the elements and finishing touches, Stephanie Bureau who beautified and softened the space, and the tradespeople who just installed the heater in time for the chilly weather. Then there are all my healer friends who came and consecrated the space – Janeen Barnett, Nan Carlson, Karin Johnston, Joan Amaral, Kate MacPhee, Carolyn Harrison, and Marci Star Brennan.
Yes, it’s a space for shamanic healing sessions, private shamanic retreats and Relax : Reset: Revive Girlfriend Getaways. (Now booking sessions! Email me.) Equally as important, it’s a space for me. Sigh. After all, I have to practice what I teach!
Meghan Gilroy is a modern shaman, life & business coach, and mindful mama of a baby, first grader and graduate student. She stumbled on her spiritual path over 15 years ago after heartbreak, betrayal, and an out of control classroom lead her to study and eventually teach with don Miguel Ruiz, shaman and bestselling author of The Four Agreements. After a lifetime of people pleasing and a year of intense life challenges – including the biggies: leaving her girlfriends and community behind in a long-distance move, massive money challenges, giving birth and a parent’s death, she stopped looking to the outside to reflect her worth and began living from a place of vulnerability, strength and trust. When not chasing after her kiddos or cracking up with her husband, she supports her clients access their inner knowing within the busy clutter of daily life and heal relationship, parenting, business, health and money issues. She offers in-person sessions in her Healing Space at Bear Lodge in the White Mountains (North Conway, NH), along with long-distance sessions, private retreats, workshops, and online classes for busy mamas, healers and women in heart-based businesses.
