“The energies are so intense. I can’t focus and my brain is not working very well. I feel like I’m sloughing through mud. I’m so tired and I don’t know why,” a dear friend texted me last week.
“Can you shed some light on this?”
“Yes!” I replied.
1. You live on Earth.
2. Lots of global disturbances.
3. Eclipse.
4. Now in eclipse season.
5. Just did daylight savings.
6. You are in a body that’s been on the planet for more than a few years.
7. I was just talking with a friend about our minds not working… welcome to the club no matter what your age.
8. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I think that about sums it up.”
I had a similar conversation with several friends and clients…
And then I felt it.
Completely raw, melting down, cracked open, not understanding what was happening.
The sense that every part of my life feels like it’s ending… or is it beginning?
Welcome to eclipse season. Welcome to walking a spiritual path on Earth right now.
(Eclipse season started on March 13th and runs through the 29th. It’s a time of big endings, new beginnings, abrupt, accelerated change.
This eclipse season is inviting you to let go and let Spirit move through you instead of figuring it out, forcing or overloading.)
For those of us who are empaths, emotionally and energetically sensitive or healers, you are most likely feeling a lot right now.
So whether you feel like you are on the evolution fast track, are being impacted by the stars or are navigating stress, overwhelm, anger or any other intense emotion, here’s some a way to navigate with more ease.
How to navigate big emotion with more ease
The biggest gift you can give yourself is to develop your ability to hold yourself through any emotional wave, pain or challenge – no matter what.
Most of us were not taught to do this as children.
The adults in our world (did their best and…) installed doubt, judgment, a victim mentality or a dismissal of emotion.
This causes us to have a chaotic inner world – one with multiple inner children that feel unseen, unheard, unloved, unresponded to and with a critical inner voice that shifts us into thinking and doing to move away from the emotional discomfort.
So when you are going through an emotional storm, feeling stressed or doubting yourself, call in your Wise One.
Your Wise One is a figure and guide in your Inner World that can hold space for you when you cannot for yourself.
Your Wise One might be a nurturing inner mama, a goddess like Isis, your grandmother who passed, your higher self or an older version of yourself, a trusted friend or mentor.
When I imagine my Wise One by my side, I can find my breath. I don’t feel so alone. I remember that I am loved and supported. And she helps me allow the emotion to move through me.
The next time you feel like the world is too much or you’re not enough, try this.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath.
Invite yourself to feel, know, see, hear a Wise One by your side.
Tell her what’s on your heart or mind.
Take long slow deep inhales and long slow deep exhales.
Listen, look, feel, hear her response.
Repeat.
While I wish that this personal bumpiness, cosmic earthquakes and global intensity is going to let up, my sense is that we are going to need all our tools for the coming months.
So lots of rest, walks, dreaming, journaling, surrendering… and hanging out with your Wise One.
Drop me an email to let me know how you are and what happens when you have Wise One support.
